
Agricultural biotechnology -- Pacific Northwest National Laboratory scientists are genetically modifying plants for more hardy and productive crops, higher quality agricultural products, and dual-use crops that will serve as "factories" in the field. For example, our scientists have genetically engineered plants to produce human blood proteins and tissue growth factors.
