
At least one-quarter of the world's natural gas deposits contain hydrogen sulfide, which must be removed before the gas can be burned. Pacific Northwest National Laboratory scientists received an R&D 100 Award for a process that removes hydrogen sulfide, producing "clean" natural gas, and recovers valuable hydrogen gas.
