Low-Activity Waste Glass: Material scientists at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory are working with glass as a durable wasteform for the storage of nuclear waste. Continued research into glass composition optimization will help to reduce the cost and time of disposal for the nuclear waste at the Hanford Site.
