The double-shell tanks in AW farm under construction in 200 East Area about 1975, with the 242A evaporator in background. Once completed, these tanks were part of the 177 radioactive waste storage tanks built at the Hanford Site in southeastern Washington State. Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and others are working to remediate the waste in these tanks.
