Document Title: Packaging Virion products
Category: Economic Development and Technology Commercialization
Media Type: Photos
Date of Image/Photo: March 2000
Background: PNNL scientists helped Virion by: 1) setting up a microbiology lab to test the new products for quality control, 2) calibrating a chromatograph and making sure it was working properly, and 3) investiating the use of a Kynar coating on the mixing blade used to blend ingredients. PNNL's 1997 Technology Investor Forum, at which Virion was featured, generated local financing for the new company. Virion is located in the Applied Process Engineering Laboratoray, a local high-tech incubator facility in which PNNL is a partner. NOTE: We have a Virion photo in Digisource already. Do not delete it. Add this.
