Pacific Northwest National Laboratory is developing solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC) for military applications, such as powering individual soldier's equipment, as well as for commercial power plants, distributed generation for residential and commercial use and auxiliary power units for public and personal transportation. Also, SOFC's may be clustered for large-scale stationary power generation.
