U.S. customs inspectors are being trained at the Department of Energy's Hazardous Materials Management and Emergency Response (HAMMER) Training Center on the Hanford Site to use acoustic inspection devices developed at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory to identify weapons and explosives. This collaboration helps to make homeland security a little tighter.
