The Battelle Marine Sciences Laboratory (MSL) specializes in trace-level analysis of metals. Arsenic speciation, including arsenite (As+3), arsenate (As+5), and methylated arsenic, is performed at part-per-billion levels in water and sediment. In this photo, a MSL staff member operates the atomic absorption spectrophotometer for speciation of arsenic.
