Battelle Marine Sciences Laboratory (MSL) staff are developing fungal technologies for use in bioremediation of contaminants. Fungal remediation is currently being used in industrial and agricultural applications. Other research areas include the harvest of natural products from marine fungi and detection of biological pathogens and other contaminants with respect to environmental and coastal security issues.
