An acoustic tag (left) and a radio tag (white, with wires) sit in the palm of a researcher’s hand. Both acoustic and radio tags are being implanted in juvenile fall Chinook salmon to track their movement at the confluence of the Clearwater and Snake rivers near Lewiston, Idaho.
