To gain insight into the physical and chemical behavior of actinides ions in solutions, researchers charge density redistribution plot of the Curium(III) ion (colored green) solvated by nine water molecules (oxygen atoms are colored red; hydrogen atoms are colored white). Blue denotes regions of charge accumulation; orange denotes regions of charge depletion.
